I really enjoyed the Cultural trip Qingdao Beer trip as it was a chance for me to learn Chinese culture while at the same time having fun and meeting new people. BE Mandarin has many cultural opportunities such as cooking or traveling that they have integrated into their school. I think this allows BE Mandarin to stand out and shows a commitment to give their students a well-rounded Chinese education rather than just offering language lessons as many of the schools in Shanghai do. I was a student of BE Mandarin for six months during which time my practical knowledge and spoken ability of Mandarin more than doubled. The reasons for this are various, they include: experienced and even more importantly, patient teachers, who appreciate the difficulties for a Westerner learning a complex language such as Mandarin and that being most clients are working professionals such as myself who are often tired and somewhat complacent at the end of a working day when lessons are usually scheduled; detailed but user-friendly textbooks which in each chapter provides vocabulary drills, dialogue practice and sentence structuring to contribute to a steady progression and development of the learning process. I've been studying Mandarin for approximately two years in all with various teachers and schools and throughout this period, my six months as a student of BE Mandarin has without doubt been the most rewarding and beneficial experience of them all.
